Amos Harper was born in West Tennessee, north of Memphis. After completing high school, he turned down a four-year scholarship to Knoxville College and join the United States Air Force. While station in England he displayed his first works on Baywaters Road near Hyde Park in Central London. Although he had early success this did not excite him enough to taking his talent seriously. During the years from 1967-1970, he traveled throughout Europe, he had a good time like many young men his age. It was later in life after he had purchased his first home in 1978 that he realized his talents was worth pursuing. As fast as he could paint pieces of work for his home his friends and neighbors would buy them. In 1985, he decided to become a professional artist based on his home sales and his success on Baywaters Road.

Don Bell Don Is best known in the local Jazz circles as Saxophonist Extraordinaire for his smooth and melodic, yet electrifying and explosive style of performing. The source of Don the one appeal is his ability to make us feel what he feels while playing a song; whether it is the powerful, heart thumping beats of his up-tempo tunes or the irresistibly soulful sounds of his slower, jazzy emotions. Don brand of music fits in well with the Smooth Jazz or Wave format.
Many people have said that to see and hear Don The One Bell perform onstage is an unforgettable experience. He is, in the truest sense, the all around performer by interacting with his audience and engaging them in conversation in between songs. |
